Just to the left of Bournemouth is the absolute gem that is Westbourne, it is a unique little town that is home to some fantastic restaurants, bars and boutique shops. If you live in the area or are just visiting I’d recommend popping along for something a little bit different.

The Food Scene

The choice of places to go in just one high street is amazing, you are literally spoilt for choice and its even sometimes difficult to make a decision. There are many individual and unique places to go where you will find something that you wouldn’t be able to get anywhere else. The leader of these without a doubt is Renoufs, a place where dreams come true as all that is on the menu is cheese, meats and wine, the selection of these is brilliant and so tasty! You can choose a couple or go for a sharing board where you can get a selection of meats, cheeses as well as antipasti nibbles such as pate, hummus, stuffed peppers & sun dried tomatoes. If you can’t choose a wine (very likely!) you can try a wine taster where you get three wines from different regions with different tastes which is a great experience. It’s no surprise that this wonderful eating experience combined with its amazing staff, selection of drinks and ambiance all for a great value it can be hard to get a table so make sure you book ahead in advance.

My other favorites include The Dancing Duck which serve a great range of cocktails, burgers and the most amazing hot dogs. Happy here is everyday 4-8pm and pop there for a visit on Taco Tuesday where you can get tacos for £2. The Libertine is lovely for stonebaked pizzas, they even have an awesome rustic venue at the back with a fire which you can rent for events, we had a works do there once which was lovely. You can also go to Pizza Express & Cafe Rouge. There’s a few more which I’m desperate to try that have fab reviews including: Plates & Co, Baffi, Circo Lounge, Spanish Taste, Indis, Dot Teas and a greek restaurant that I’m not sure of the name!

One place you cannot miss is the amazing amazing Chez Fred! THE BEST Fish and Chip shop in the whole of the area. I am an absolute regular here and the chips are out of this world (I’ve had a lot of chips in my time so i’d say i’m quite the expert). The staff are lovely in here and even Jack Black visited here and was blown away by the chips.

The Drinks Scene

Coming to Westbourne is great, there are lots of places to go and you can really make the most of it. You can go to Circo Lounge which has a chilled out vibe, Dancing Duck that is always lively, the Libertine for a great pub feel, the Westbourne to watch the football and have a pint and Camden for great drinks and food. My favorite place for cocktails is definitely the Dancing Duck, happy hour here is a dream and whats not to love about Pornstar Martinis??

The Shops Scene

If you are looking for something that’s quirky or unique as a treat for yourself or a gift for someone then Westbourne is your place to go. There are some gorgeous women’s clothes shops, as a former Beauty Queen I can’t help but look adoringly at Fab Frocks of Westbourne every time I go past, the dresses are incredible and the ideal place to go to chose a prom dress, ball gown or a dress to make you feel amazing. What I love about Westbourne shopping is that you can find absolute treasures that you wouldn’t find in your usual high street stores, there are lots of adorable shops in the arcade, you could spend hours here. I have also found some absolute bargains in the charity shops of Westbourne, there are about  different charity shops to choose from.

With all this being said it’s easy to see why you can spend a good few hours here, enjoy some great food, drinks and do a spot of shopping.
