Where should you go??

So you’re heading down to the sunny south coast for a night out, stag or hen do and you can’t not have a mad night out whilst you’re here right? There are so many places to go that it can be rather overwhelming choosing the best places or route so I’ve put together a selection of my faves below.  I’d say there is something for everyone as you’ve got a huge mix of great cocktails, live music, themed bars and clubs!

There are two main places where you will find the nightlife of Bournemouth

The Pier – Hilton – nice bars with lush cocktails

Old Christchurch Road – a fun place with a mix of clubs, cheap drinks, cocktail bars and loads of takeaways!

Aruba – the best place to enjoy beachy vibes, unreal cocktails and the only bar with cracking views of the beach, you literally feel like you are in a beach club in Malibu. They usually have a happy hour at some point on a friday night which is defoo worth checking out, the food is also awesome but recommend you book as they can get busy! You will be totally spoilt for choice with the selection of cocktails and there is nothing better than relaxing on the balcony overlooking the beach with one – especially a Lychee Mango Cooler (my fave!).

Hot Rocks – right by the pier these guys do a great range of cocktails, have live music and a stonebake pizza oven!

Neo – I was lucky enough to be taken to Neo on Vday and O M G it is incredible, the food is out of this world and the entire experience is top class, if you are after really exquisite glamourous cocktails then Neo is your place to go!

1812 – awesome for a nice sophisticated cocktail with a glam crowd

Bar So – a great place to go if you want to have a few drinks and a dance, it gets super busy in the summer and the downstairs dancefloor is so much fun – I once had a fab night with a chap from a popular soap in here!

Lost Paradise – a tiki themed bar that has a great vibe to it – think live bongo players, cocktails that arrive in all sorts, a bridge into ‘paradise’ – girls be careful going over the bridge in heels.. trust me!

60 Million Postcards – if you like things abit more low key, indie and good quality live music 60 Mil is your place! They have comfy sofas, retro arcade games, a great line up of bands, they also have a large outdoor seating area which is one of few in Bmouth!

Level8 Skybar – If you want a nice glam cocktail with a London sky bar vibe, the skybar at the Hilton is the place to go. The interior is gorgeous and the cocktails are lush – even if they are pretty expensive they are truly worth it for the experience.

Other places to go here: Bonsai, Eden, Halo, Moon in the Square

Cameo – The place to go for a proper club experience in Bournemouth, it has 4 different rooms each with their own genre, my personal fave is Vinyl, its so cheesy pop it hurts but fantastic at the same time. You are guaranteed to have a good night here and probably roll out at about 4am to Mondos for cheesy garlic pizza bread….

Turtle Bay – Caribbean restaurant turtle bay is renowned for its cocktails and jerk chicken. My personal faves here are the Jumpin’ Julep, Pina Colada, Passionfruit Mojito and of course the strawberry daiquiri! Don’t miss happy hour 5pm-7pm and 10pm – close. Book in advance if you want to eat and try the absolute delights of carribean style food. (Try the Mo’ Bay Chicken – its my fave!)

Vodka Revs – You knowwww you’re going to have a great time if you head to revs, with 2 dance floors, 2 massive bars and a huge range of drinks its a winner and normally my go to, particularly for the DJ who plays the pirates of the carribean theme mix which makes everyone crazay.

Cosy Club – Where bar meets restaurant, in this gatsby themed venue you can enjoy a lovely range of cocktails, tapas and a mix of food. I love going here!

Other places to go here: Walkabout, Le Chic, Yates, Mary Shelley, Slug & Lettuce

There are loads of other places I haven’t mentioned such as the triangle & Ashley Cross which are really fun! Bournemouth is a super fun night out so have fun! We don’t have Uber down here so if you need a taxi grab one from United Taxis (01202 55 66 77).

Have a fab night in Bournemouth and if in doubt, just explore and try new places!
